It appears that religious people spend far too much time dwelling on the past, arguing about it, and killing people over it. This is all an unnecessary approach to acquiring knowledge. Does it really matter who is right, or who is wrong? So much so that we discriminate against one another and kill each other?

Whether God is real or not is irrelevant! We should choose to live on honesty regardless of what you think might have happened in the past. 'This person said this; 'this person said that'; 'these people went to war and defeated another people'; 'he died'; 'she died'; 'they all died'; 'he had a good life'; 'his life was harsh', etc. This is the way of things past: arguing and fighting and forming prejudices about it, which doesn't change it, nor does it prove or disprove it.

It's a sad sight indeed to see so many people in conflict over such trivial matters, wasting their lives on irrelevant pain. It would be far more beneficial to people if energies were instead focused on seeking ways to live in harmony, for to seek anything else is a contradiction to (religion/spirituality) itself. Perhaps religion itself is the anti-peace, the big Lie that has divided men and women for millennia; or perhaps people are simply misguided and have been focusing their energy in the wrong direction. Regardless of the answers to such outrageous questions, we as a people, as the Human Race, are kin to each other. Fighting amongst ourselves, our brothers and sisters, criticizing each other's religious/spiritual views, has a negative effect on our moral being as a united people.

Are we really fighting, arguing and killing each other to help the other person to see the Truth? This is absurd. It appears far more reasonable that we are fighting because we are too stubborn to admit the possibility that we are wrong... and feel offended that others would dare to call us liars! So we take up arms against one another, trying to prove that the victor is more powerful, and thus right. This is barbaric! Completely absurd! Not only have you become a murderer, but you judge unrighteous, and all the prayer in the world won't undo the life you have condemned, or the people you have transgressed against.
